Earlier in November, there was a performance of the play Wait Until Dark at York Theatre Royal. This was a Frederick Knott 1966 suspense thriller that was a movie directed by Alfred Hitchcock (1967). The main character in it, Susy, is blind. For the tour of the production, for the first time the role of Susy is being played a visually impaired actor. Karina Jones was visually impaired from the age of 13, and she was so engaging to watch in this role.

I managed to go and watch the show on the opening night in York, and the second half was so gripping I was completely drawn in! Only afterwards, having enjoyed it so much did I do some research on the play and performers which is when I found out that Karina was visually impaired.
